Summer contains warms breezes and blue skies with cotton candy clouds. Temperatures range from 70 to 90's during the day and the mid 60 to 70's in the evenings. Although August can include high humidity, the weather is pleasant from Memorial Day to Labor Day for planning a vast array of outdoor activities.
Fall can be spectacular in this area each year. Daytime temperatures generally range in the 60's and 70's with cooler evenings in the 50's, perfect to pull on that favorite sweater. Days show blue skies against a spectrum of beautiful fall foliage colors.
Winter tends to be milder than most areas of the country (with a notable exception in 2002-03!) Average normal temperatures hang around the teens to the thirties. There are intermittent blue skies, but gray sky is familiar. Snowfall is enough to afford some winter activities such as sledding, ice fishing, skiing, and snow mobile riding. The north central and northeast areas of the state have the heaviest accumulations of snowfall yearly.
Spring is a welcome change for everyone. This area sees the temperatures rise steadily into the 40's to 60's climbing toward the 70's in the daytime. With mild temperatures, the grass greens, skies become blue more and more, trees bud and bloom and a rainbow of spring flowers appear.
